Areas of interest
The assessment of common mental health disorders: assessing, via semi-structured interviews, mental health disorders in primary care and use of the stepped care model and NICE guidelines to ascertain a suitable treatment pathway for the individual.
Treatment of common mental health disorders: utilising and applying evidence based low intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, within step 2 of the stepped care model, with clients experiencing common mental health disorders (e.g. anxiety disorders and/or depression).
Diversity and inclusion within therapeutic settings: applied throughout modules 1-3 teaching sessions and within supervision, as well as within my teaching session on working with learning disability. I have a strong interest in ensuring that therapy is adapted and flexibly delivered according to the client's therapeutic and personal needs.
Academic tutoring: I am interested in the student experience within higher education, including how they are supported with their clinical training year to enhance wellbeing, widen participation and minimise boundaries to training.
