In your first year, we place an emphasis on supporting you with the transition to university-level mathematics through our small-group sessions and weekly tutorials.

Our world is increasingly reliant on computers and digital information, and the digital economy is growing rapidly in the UK and internationally. This means that graduates with coding and programming skills are in high demand from today's employers.

All our courses include a module where you'll learn how to code, honing your skills in our well-equipped PC labs. 

We also offer a degree which allows you to develop your computational skills in more depth.

Our graduates progress into a range of exciting careers. We ensure that you have the opportunity to develop the transferable skills that employers are looking for, particularly through our dedicated skills-based modules.

We support our students to gain vital real-world work experience. All our courses are available with a placement year in industry, and we encourage all students to seek out relevant short placements between semesters. We have a thriving work shadowing programme. We also offer a number of volunteering opportunities such as delivering outreach sessions in schools, which are perfect for those thinking of pursuing a career in teaching.
